Today I would like to talk about Gareth Emery. He is a British DJ/Producer. He is also one of my favorite artist of all time. 

History and About Him

His real name is Gareth Thomas Rhys Emery. His music is mainly Trance, but he also makes songs in a variety of other genres. He is a member of A State of Trance, Armada Music, and We'll Be Ok Records.

Until age 26, he lived in Southampton England, before relocating to Manchester where he had a studio and ran a night club and record label called Garuda. Before he made EDM, he played guitar in a punk band. And in 2002, he released his first song.

Gareth Emery feat. Lucy Saunders - Sanctuary

In 2010, he released his first album Northern Lights. The song included in this album Sanctuary was a hit and has become one of his signature songs. And this song became the most played record of 2011 on US' Sirius XM Radio.

Gareth Emery feat. Christina Novelli - Concrete Angel

In 2012, he released Concreate Angel. This song was a huge hit in the dance music world and currently has about 80 million views on YouTube and 45 million streams on Spotify.

Gareth Emery & Standerwick - Saving Light (feat. HALIENE)

In 2017, He released "Saving Light" with artist Standerwick and Haliene. This song and its music video were a collaboration with the charity Ditch The Label is an effort to prevent bullying among children and young adults.

His Live Set

Laserface

In 2018, Emery started a new live set project Laserface. This project is a collaboration with a world-class laser artist, Anthony Garcia. As you can see from this video, the live performance is very beautiful and the amount of lasers is breathtaking. He is currently working on a live project LSR/CITY which is an upgraded version of Laserface.

My Favorite Song

Gareth Emery - Elise

This song is my favorite of his songs. He wrote this song during the Coronavirus pandemic, and the music video is also about Coronavirus. This song makes me feel very special in a way that words cannot describe. It is kind of an emotional feeling. The lyrics are also very good.
