Today I would like to talk about Armin van Buuren. He is a Dutch DJ/Producer. He is also one of my favorite artist of all time. 

History and About Him

His real name is Armin Jozef Jacobus Daniël van Buuren. He mainly makes Trance Music, but he also makes songs in many other genres. He has been called the King of Trance. He is the owner of A State of Trance, Armada Music and Armind.

He was majoring in law but took a leave of absence to prioritize DJing. In 1996, he started working as a DJ at Club Nexus. And he released his first songs and EP on Timeless Records.

In 2001, he started a radio show called A State of Trance, which now has 1000 episodes. In 2003, he released his first album 76. The album included many of his old signature songs.

In 2007, he was voted the world's #1 DJ for five consecutive years until 2011. In 2013, he performed at the coronation of the King of the Netherlands.

In 2013, he released the album Intense. The song from this album This Is What It Feels Like is his signature track and currently has 120 million views on YouTube and 250 million streams on Spotify.

In 2019 he released the album Balance. The song from this album Blah Blah Blah is his most popular song and currently has 630 million views on YouTube and 400 million streams on Spotify.

He has DJ's at many festivals. For example, Ultra Music Festival, EDC, Tomorrowland, etc. One of my favorite moments is this video. This is a live video of him remixing Van Halen's song Jump.

Untold

What surprised me the most was his live show at Untold. He did a 3 hour DJ perfomance at Untold in 2015. Then in 2016 he played 3 hours and 30 minutes, in 2017 he played 5 hours, in 2018 he played 7 hours, and even in 2019 he played 7 hours and 30 minutes of DJ play. How is this possible? I can't believe it.

My favorite of his songs is Freefall. This song is the song that made me fall in love with him. This song makes me very energetic and excited. And the music video is a very exciting video.

This time I talked about him briefly again. His history is so long that if I told it in detail, it would take forever. He is getting old and I hope he will live a long life.
