Today I would like to talk about Martin Garrix. He is a Dutch born DJ/producer and one of my favorite artists of all time. As you can see from this picture, he is very handsome.

History and About Him

His real name is Martijn Gerard Garritsen. He is a member of STMPD RCRDS, which he founded. Previously, he was a member of Spinnin' Records. In addition to his work as Martin Garrix, he is also known for his work as GRX, AREA21 and YTRAM.

Martin Garrix & Tiesto

When he was 4 years old, he began learning to play the guitar, and his interest in music began to grow. When he was 8 years old, he saw Tiesto performing at the 2004 Athens Olympics and began to strongly dream of becoming a DJ. And he released his first song "Itsa" at the age of 16.

Animals

He released "Animals" in 2013. The song was a worldwide hit and currently has 1.5 billion views on Youtube and 500 million views on Spotify. This song has also become one of the most famous EDM songs of all time, and it is this song that made him famous.

Tomorrowland 2016

He has since performed at the world's biggest music festival Tomorrowland in 2014, and has been ranked #1 in the World Dj Rankings three years in a row. And he played DJ at the closing ceremony of the PyeongChang Olympics in February 2018.

He has collaborated not only with DJs such as Avicii, David Guetta, Hardwell, and Afrojack, but also with famous artists such as Bebe Rexha, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, and Fall Out Boy. But one of my favorite collaboration song is "We Are The People" with U2. This song was also chosen as the official theme song for UEFA EURO 2020.

 

High On Life with Bonn

My most favorite song of his songs is "High on life". This song has such a beautiful melody and matches the vocals so well, it puts me in a great mood. I think this song should be heard by all mankind.

Ultra Japan 2022

Ultra Music Festival Japan 2022

In September 2022, the Ultra Music Festival Japan was held in Odaiba. He performed here and I was able to see him for the first time. He played at the end of the first day and I cried the moment his play started. And not only at that moment, I cried most of the time, because I couldn't believe that he was in Japan and in front of me. I am so glad that I could see him. I was able to fulfill one thing I wanted to do before I die.
