Today I would talk about Avicii. He was a Swedish DJ/Producer and one of my favorite artist of all time. I am sure you have all heard his name at least once.

History and About Him

His real name is Tim Bergling. He was a member of LE7ELS Records, PRMD Records, Universal Records and many others. He not only worked as Avicii, but also as his real name Tim Bergling.

He had been interested in music since he was a small child and when he was 18 years old, he started his music career, writing songs and remixes. He won the first prize in the "Pete Tong Fast Tracks" competition hosted by the British DJ Pete Tong. In 2008, he released his first single "Manman".

Seek Bromance

He released "Seek Bromance" in 2010. This song was a huge hit in many countries around the world. This song made him famous. He also collaborated with David Guetta on the song "Sunshine", which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording at the 54th Grammy Awards in 2012.

In 2011, he released "Levels". This song was a worldwide hit and currently has 600 million views on YouTube and 700 million streams on Spotify. This song has become one of the most famous EDM songs of all time.

Avicii collaborated with the well-known artists Madonna, Coldplay, Adam Lambert, and many others. In 2013, he released the album "True", and in 2015 he released the album "Stories".

And in 2013, he released his most popular song, "Wake Me Up". This song currently has 2.5 billion views on YouTube and 1.6 billion streams on Spotify.

In 2016 Avicii announced he was retiring from DJing. This was due to his mental health issues. He also stopped releasing songs, but resumed his activities in 2017. He then released the EP "Avīci (01)". I was very happy at the time when I heard this news.

However, in April 20th, 2018, he passed away. The cause of death was not disclosed at the time, but it was later announced that it was suicide.

The news was reported all over the world and many artists expressed their condolences to him. I still remember that day. I could not believe it happened and I did not understand what they were saying. I still believe somewhere in my heart that he is still somewhere and that he is still alive.

The Days

My most favorite of his songs is "The Days". This song is the song that made me fall in love with EDM, and I can say that I wouldn't be where I am today without it. I still can't forget the feeling of shock I had when I heard this song for the first time.

This time, as before, I talked about him briefly. Avicii came to Japan once, and it is my biggest regret in life that I did not make it there. He was the one who changed my life and I love him. Rest in Peace Tim.
